Brenna Concept Work

Resume Update

And it's super sexy. Be jealous.

Finding the Perfect Printer

Now that I've graduated from college, I no longer have the Drake design lab printer.(thank goodness) But I'm on my own to find a printer/company to meet my design needs. I've decided to compile a review of online printing companies with their strengths and weaknesses.

Overnight Prints
- free sample ordering
- super cheap/fast
- rounded corners
- very limited stock

VistaPrint
- cheap and fast
- no free samples to be mailed
- poor customer service

Print Place
- expensive for limited quality
- 4 color max
- ability to do rounded corners
- next day print proof available

Taste of Ink Studios
- great paper choices
- wide array of possibilities
- more expensive

UPrinting
- cheap and fast
- limited stock
- four colors

123Print
- decent paper choices
- great customer service
- free sample mailing

Furniture Store Identity Pt. 2

This was a follow-up to the furniture store identity. Package design that is linked both to the store and the product(made by another company) and labels that reflect the furniture made by renowned artists. I wasn't thrilled with how some of the packing turned out(damn you, printer!) but managed to get some decent photos. I happy with my concepts, though. Especially the little instruction icons! They're my favorite!

Well Designed Website

I was doing research for my management project (our company is John Deere, and I was looking up product innovations in the agricultural industry - joy) and stumbled upon this website. For such a mundane topic as ethanol energy, the Growth Energy site has a surprisingly well done design.

Mystery Graphic

Took me about 10 minutes to throw together in illustrator, but I still think it's kinda cute! I'm starting to love making little vector images. (this was a rush job to be the graphic for a newsletter article about a judge who loves mystery novels)
